Call for Participation

Anticipating a well-balanced program for academic, research and industrial interests, we invite you to submit your content in any of the following tracks:

Tapia 2020 Resume database is now OPEN.

All conference attendees are invited to submit their resume into the database to take advantage of the upcoming recruitment season. Tapia 2020 Conference sponsors will begin accessing resumes on June 1, 2020.

Technical Topics: covering technical topics in computing such as quantum computing, blockchain, the era of post-Moore Law, artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data, Internet of Things, robotics, security, privacy, virtual/augmented reality, human-centric computing, smart mobility, social computing, and other related topics.

Professional Development for Academia: covering topics particular to undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, or administrators, such as networking, leadership, applying for graduate school/fellowships, academic careers, effective teaching of computing, and other related topics.

Professional Development for Industry/Government Agencies: covering topics particular to professionals in industry or government agencies such as entrepreneurship, effective communication, networking, bringing your full self to the workplace, career paths, mentoring networks, and other related topics.

Broadening Participation in Computing: covering topics particular to increasing participation by diverse groups in computing, topics such as such as culturally relevant computing, gender-inclusive design, accessibility, unconscious bias, imposter syndrome, recruitment and retention, outreach and other related topics.

A submission in any of the aforementioned tracks can be in any of the following sub-program areas: birds of a feather (BOFs), panels & workshops. We invite students to submit posters and to the doctoral consortium. The Tapia Call for Participation is now closed.

The Tapia conference also provides student and faculty scholarship opportunities. Scholarship applications are now closed.
