Digital Identity: Understanding It, Curating It, Protecting It
Wednesday, September 16, 2020 (Central Time) — 12:30PM - 1:15PM
The digital age is a time of profound sociocultural change driven by technologies that facilitate the transmission of information faster and more efficiently than ever before in human history” (McLean, Syed, & Manago, 2015). As a result, individuals are now at the center of expansive social networks unrestricted by geography and time, which have serious implications for how digital identities are created, protected, and managed. We hope to use this workshop as a way to encourage discussion regarding this topic.
